My dearest dearest Marge!
In very deep contemplation on what bonds us the most as
friends…or no…sisters, on a physical, spiritual, emotional, and ultimately a fundamental
level is none other than the liquid of our lord…coffee.
This sweet and yet sometimes bitter drink is what binds us
to one another. It calls us back and we answer it like a girl in unhealthy relationship.
It is our master and we are its willing servants!
I do believe that you are the more devoted follower because
you study the many varieties that is can be prepared. I am nothing but a lowly
admire of this craft. I look on in awe and partake in it as much as I can!
Here is a list that I made, a love letter maybe would be
better name, describing my favorite qualities of café!
1.
The heat!
a.
Yes coffee doesn’t always have to be hot but
that warmth in my hand is something that draws me to it. As it touches my lips
then fills my body, I am brought to life every morning.
2.
Bitter, sweet, rich…anything
a.
Coffee by itself can have so many different flavors
that you can get whatever you need and desire.
3.
Croissants, donuts, macaroons, muffins
a.
The best breakfast foods can be eaten or even
dunked it this mighty drink
4.
Chocolate! Carmel! Mint! Pumpkin!
a.
So many flavors can be put in this drink and it
only makes it better. No matter what mood you are in coffee is always there to satisfy
5.
Cold and refreshing

On these hot days nothing satisfies my needs
like an iced coffee. Not a milkshake or smoothie can relieve my need for
something cold and refreshing
6.
Its international
a.
The French, the Colombians, the Americans, the Italians,
they all love their coffee. The whole world loves coffee and has their
different variations, all great and wonderful. You and I have even had some in Rome
(pretty awesome)
7.
Its good anytime
a.
Morning, Noon, and Night! I am not too affected
by caffeine much so I can drink it anytime!! I love it in the morning as a starter,
as a pick me up in the afternoon, or at night by a campfire!
8.
My coffee cup addiction
a.
Not only do I have an addiction to coffee but
also the mugs…and you are very responsible for this because you often give them
as gifts. I can’t help buying the cute mugs!
9.
It bonds!
a.
Nothing is better than sipping hot coffee while
talking about the latest gossip! Spilling feelings and desires over this
powerful drink.
10.
It’s everything!!
a.
Its hot/cold, sweet/ bitter, chocolate/vanilla,
AM/PM, its everything you need it to be at any time you need it. It’s the best
friend you need at any time…it’s there for you.
So Margie I know you feel the same way, maybe even more so…
I’d love to discuss it more sometime…maybe over coffee….
